By employing a Google DSA ad campaign, a small, niche publisher was able to increase clicks to the site by 99% as they reported on breaking news in their niche.

Readers rely on publishers to produce quality content to be served at the moment they are seeking information. Twenty-First Digital partners with publishers to drive paid media traffic to sites to help expand audience networks and readership. By employing a Google Dynamic Search ad campaign (DSA), a small, niche publisher was able to increase Click-Thru-Rate to their site by 93% as they reported on breaking news.

Sponsored content is a valuable revenue stream for content producers, and it is another way to monetize the audience you’ve curated online. However, that product offering requires considerations for how sponsored content is branded and labeled, so it is apparent to the user that it is not editorial content and was provided by a paying advertiser for the privilege of reaching your audience. The general rule of thumb has been that it should be crystal clear that paid content on the website is understood as such. You don’t want to try and dupe your audience here and risk losing trust.

However, the content on your website has another audience with whom you don’t want to lose trust–the search engine crawlers visiting your site every day.

Excellence in editorial and custom content and design across print and digital media were honored last week at the 2022 Eddie & Ozzie Awards. Presented by Folio, the winners and special mentions were announced at a gala event at the City Winery New York.

Twenty-First Digital is proud to work with the very best talent in the industry and is honored to recognize our client partners for awards and recognition across various categories. Congratulations!

If you’re running your brand’s Instagram account, you’ve likely noticed a drop in impressions and engagement on static feed posts. It is evident when we scroll that Meta is pushing video, and the data tells us that video is taking over everything. Instagram Reels now receive 22% more engagement than regular Instagram video posts and Tiktok announced that they had over 1 billion monthly active users in Q1 in their quarterly report. To put that in perspective, there are 4.8 billion global internet users - 21% of them are on TikTok. All the evidence points to… it’s time for publishers to take the plunge and start making video content.

HubSpot INBOUND 2022

The TFD team attended virtual sessions, listened to powerful presentations, and kept a running commentary on new product releases, industry trends, and evolving strategies at HubSpot’s annual INBOUND conference last week.

Every year at INBOUND, HubSpot delivers the goods on new product releases, additional features, and the general direction of the product, which has made leaps and bounds of growth in functionality in the last three years. This year HubSpot doubled down on the impact of Payments declaring it a “commerce-powered CRM platform” and adding features that allow full customization around dates, amounts, and recurring payment schedules allowing for unprecedented flexibility in how you charge and bill your customers. Plus, distinctly improved integration with Quickbooks allows users to leverage the power functionality inside the Sales Hub while keeping internal books in-line and up to date using HubSpot workflows.

American democracy is in danger from not one but several critical threats at this moment in history. Namely, election denialism and the success of 2022 primary candidates that amplify those lies, the increasingly restrictive voting laws that suppress the votes of racial and sexual minorities, and gerrymandered districts in swing states like Texas, Florida, and Georgia where partisan lawmakers have hand-drawn district maps for their own benefit essentially. Plus, the volume of misinformation on social media (and cable news) directly influences how people think and vote about crucial issues. However, the most significant threats are looming just ahead of us, with their ability to metastasize directly tied to the results of the 2022 midterm elections.
